CAP appoints Adrian Rushmore as Operations Director

CAP AUTOMOTIVE has appointed Adrian Rushmore to the role of Operations Director as part of its drive for growth through market-leading quality.

The appointment is the latest by CAP drawing experienced and respected figures from the automotive sector into key operational roles to help drive the company’s accelerated growth ambitions.

These investments have followed the acquisition of CAP last year by one of Europe’s top flight investment specialists, Montagu Private Equity.

Adrian Rushmore is one of the most widely recognised figures in the world of used vehicle valuations and market intelligence, with more than 25 years’ experience in the field. His decision to join CAP follows last year’s launch of Black Book Live, the industry’s first independent real-time used car valuation tool. This has been accompanied by a keen focus on investing in genuine market experts to produce business-critical information tools for the automotive retail, fleet, consumer, finance and insurance sectors.

As Operations Director he will oversee the quality of CAP’s products and have significant input into the development of new products and services and assume overall responsibility for the strategy of continual improvement for CAP’s market-leading current and forecast valuations and technical data covering cars, vans, trucks and motorcycles.

Rushmore’s in-depth understanding of used vehicle marketplace dynamics, coupled with the needs of customers who rely on pricing and technical information to make business-critical decisions daily, ideally qualifies him for a role in the heart of CAP’s ‘engine room’.  In turn, CAP’s innovative approach to creating new products and services, together with a strong focus on investment in genuine market expertise to bring new insight and deliver unrivalled value for customers, creates the ideal environment for his next career step.

Adrian Rushmore said: “I’m delighted to take the opportunity to be at the centre of a business committed to investing in the best market expertise, innovation and quality. I also look forward to leading a team which puts the customer at the forefront of everything it does.

“This is a very exciting time to be joining CAP and helping to shape the future of a business focused on investing to drive excellence and future growth.”

CAP CEO, Ian Rendle, said: “Adrian is one of the most well respected figures in the automotive business information industry and he brings with him a deep knowledge of our key markets together with a thorough understanding of customers in all of our commercial sectors.

“We are delighted to welcome him into what will undoubtedly prove one of the most challenging and rewarding roles in the company’s history as we continue to drive investment into skills and quality for the benefit of our customers.”

Adrian Rushmore joins CAP after 26 years with Glass’s Information Services, the last 12 years spent in the position of Managing Editor.
