Dealer Market Survey August 2013
Each month CAP asks around 100 used car dealers about their trading conditions to gauge how well businesses have faired, availability of stock and sales performance.
Of the dealers surveyed by CAP in August, only 2.7% reported that they felt July used car sales were worse than the previous month.
CAP Leasing Survey August 2013
The leasing companies surveyed by CAP in August 2013 reported an average performance against CAP of 97.7%, higher than July (1.2%) but 0.8% lower than the same time last year.

Of the Dealers surveyed by CAP in July, 75.5% reported that they felt last month’s (June 13) used car sales were slightly better or considerably better than the previous month.
Only 3.8% of Dealers felt that levels of business would decline over the next quarter, more than half felt it would be stable (50.9%) whilst 45.3% felt it would improve.
