We recently had a 2009 59 plate Skoda Superb that came from Volkswagen Financial Services and had been out on lease with a customer for the last three years. It was delivered to us, immediately after it had been collected from the previous driver, and he or she had obviously treated it so well; it was immaculate throughout.

First Driving Impressions – Bentley Continental GT Speed, International Press Launch, Bavaria
The Continental GT Speed is a tale of two cars: it’s just as happy going at 5mph around town, as it is at high speed on the Autobahn. It’s a highly luxurious car that hides some monstrous abilities. Light the touch paper and stand well back!
Test Car – Ford B-Max 1.6 litre TDCI Titanium
The all-new B-Max is the multi-purpose version of the ever popular Fiesta, and as its name suggests, it sits in the B sector. It’s 4,077mm in length, which makes it around five inches longer than the current shape Fiesta.
First Driving Impressions – Kia Cee’d Sportswagon, UK Press Event, Zilina, Slovakia
Before we drove the all-new Cee’d Sportswagon, we had a tour of Kia’s European plant in Zilina. This plant opened in 2006 and looks as new and fresh today as it did then. This factory is very modern and not a spot of dirt could be found anywhere; it is literally spotless. Around 3,900 people work there and currently three shifts are in operation to keep up with demand. The Cee’d, Venga and Sportage are all built there, with the new Pro Cee’d due to start production early next year. The Zilina Plant can build up to 300,000 cars per annum, with one coming off the line every minute.

The all-new Golf is the seventh generation, with the MK1 being introduced 38 years ago, making the average length of time for each model introduction being just over six years. However, the current version, the MK6, only managed to remain in production for just over 3 years, so the MK7 has arrived much earlier than any other new Golf.

First UK Driving Impressions – Audi A3, UK Press Event, Ascot
We first drove the all-new A3 a few months ago on the sunny island of Majorca and we thought it was a great car to drive – in fact we thought it was a big improvement all-round. It was now time to drive the first right hand drive cars in the UK.
